| Personal Background | Evelyn Branic, a native New Yorker, moved to Washington, DC to attend Howard University in 1981. She received a degree in Journalism Print at Howard's School of Communications in 1985. While attending college Evelyn worked part-time as a night news assistant for the New York Times Washington Bureau. In 1985, she was hired as Director of Constituent Services for DC Councilmember, Frank Smith, Jr.
Evelyn started her career in real estate in 1987, joining Century 21 Prestige, a newly formed brokerage in Columbia Heights. Over the years, Evelyn has been affiliated with L&N Realty, Dale Denton Real Estate, Long & Foster Realtors and Realty Executives/Alan Realtors. While at Dale Denton Ms. Branic formed a real estate team partnering with Evangeline “Van†Mastriani, which lasted until her untimely death in 1988. Over the course of her 19 years in the business, Evelyn has been involved with her local Realtor Board serving on the Public Policy and Finance Committees, community fund raising activities, buyer seminars and several local charitable events. Evelyn has been a resident of the Capitol Hill for over 20 years, and is licensed in DC, MD & VA.
